Inheritance of Ichthyosis

1. Inheritance law of ichthyosis vulgaris (this disease is autosomal dominant inheritance, complete dominant gene):

                                1) The performance traits of each generation, unless the penetrance decreases,  it is passed from generation to generation;

                                2) The incidence of the patient’s children is 50%;

                                3) At least one of patients' parents is sick.Both men and women may carry and transmit disease-causing genes;

                                4) In general, if a patient marries a non-patient, half of their children will get sick.

2. Inheritance of X-linked ichthyosis (this disease is sex-linked recessive inheritance):

                            1) The disease is generally limited to men, and it is rare for female patients to have homozygous traits;

                                     2)  A male patient will pass the mutant gene to all his daughters, so 100% of these daughters are gene carriers;

                                     3)  For sons born to female carriers, 50% of them have received the gene and have symptoms;

                                     4)  50% of daughters born to female carriers are carriers of the gene;

                                     5)  The mutant gene will never be passed directly from father to son, and this trait will never be passed on to son;

                                     6)  Carrier females generally do not suffer from the disease, but some may have mild manifestations.

3. Inheritance of lamellar ichthyosis (this disease is autosomal recessive inheritance, rare):

              1) The parental phenotype is normally heterozygous, and this trait is only expressed in homozygous with two mutant genes;

                                       2) The probability of a patient in a sibling is 25%;

                                       3) The patient generally appears in the family in alternate generations;

                                       4) Men and women are equally likely to be ill;

                                            5) When close relatives get married, the incidence of children increases greatly.

4.Bullous ichthyosis(Inheritance of ichthyosis-like erythroderma,this disease is an autosomal dominant inheritance):

                                   1) The performance traits of each generation, unless the penetrance decreases,  it is passed from generation to generation;

                                   2) The incidence of the patient’s children is 50%;

                                   3) At least one of patients' parents is sick.Both men and women may carry and transmit disease-causing genes;

                                   4) In general, if a patient marries a non-patient, half of their children will get sick
