Check How Long It Takes to Fade Your fish scale lines
Many ichthyosis patients troubled by fish scale lines are eager to know how long it will take for the lines and pigmentation on the skin to lighten. In fact, there is no fixed timeline for fading, as it largely depends on the severity of the lines, skincare routines, skin metabolism, and daily living habits.
Mild fish scale lines confined to the outermost epidermal layer usually take 2 to 6 months to improve. Moderate fish scale lines deep within the epidermis generally require 4 to 12 months of care. Severe fish scale lines that extend into the deep dermis or subcutaneous tissue are much harder to fully eliminate.
Additionally, ichthyosis patients with faster skin metabolism and healthy daily lifestyles will see their fish scale lines fade more rapidly when paired with effective lightening and repairing skincare products.
